Artist Bio

Umara, one of Sri Lankas most respected and loved singers,an accomplished song writer, producer, sound engineer and entrepreneur, she heralds from a musical background. She is known for her unique powerful voice.

Her style of singing is not limited to one but rather caters to a raft of genres from Pop, Jazz, Classical. She is well known for her ability of multilingual singing. She is one of the most popular and highly sought-after artists in the industry. She is also a Jazz musician, with impressive performance in world class venues in Hong Kong for seven years. 

She Has won awards in International competition s in Ukraine, Astana and China. She is the First youngest female Audio Engineer in Sri Lanka at the famous ‘Sarigama’ music studio. Amongst her many accolades she is the only Sri Lankan female to have collaborated with the legendary international artist 'Shankar Mahadevan'
